We believe that community building, mentorship and educational opportunities provide youth an early experience in self awareness and self expression. The program is named in honor of the Swahili word for Wisdom. Wisdom is the quality of having experience, knowledge, and good judgment while offering the opportunity to utilize insight to affect change for the better in our surroundings. The Hekima Project is a subject centered track based educational and mentorship program for youth ages 10-19. The tracks are designed to introduce young people to new concepts in communication and revisit critical writing and thinking skills.
